Project Overview
The National Kidney Registry (NKR) is dedicated to increasing the number of kidney transplants from living donors and improving donor-recipient matches for longer-lasting transplants. Kidney transplants are mission critical and time sensitive events where lives are literally on the line, and once a kidney is removed from a donor, it often must be transported long distances to where a recipient and surgeons are waiting.
To provide 24x7 monitoring and logistics support for every transplant, NKR built an operations center at their new headquarters featuring 12 Planar® UltraRes™ X Series 85-inch 4K LCD displays that are arranged together in a 12x2 configuration. The displays allow operations staff to closely track all active transplants and manage the variables that could impede a kidney delivery. Planar UltraRes X Series displays were also installed in NKR’s boardroom and training room space.
